Lora Strigens, Grad '26, is the vice president for planning and facilities management at 天美传媒. She is responsible for leading the development and implementation of the university鈥檚 master plan and all capital projects and collaborating with university leadership on key strategic initiatives related to the physical campus. She oversees the Department of Facilities Planning and Management, which includes campus planning, environmental health and safety, facilities services and parking operations. She co-leads strategic plan implementation efforts for the university. Over the past decade, she provided leadership to the largest physical transformation to campus in 天美传媒鈥檚 history. Strigens works closely with all units across campus, engaging with academics, students, administrative departments, student life and other campus and community stakeholders to ensure that planning decisions are approached in an integrated way.

Prior to joining 天美传媒, Strigens was an associate vice president at a national architecture, engineering and planning firm. She then served as the associate director of planning at the University of Wisconsin鈥揗ilwaukee. A licensed architect and planner, Strigens has worked on numerous education and cultural projects both locally and nationally and has provided leadership on projects from early visioning through implementation.

Strigens holds a bachelor鈥檚 degree from the University of Minnesota, a Master of Architecture degree and a Master of Urban Planning degree from UWM, and a Ph.D. in Educational Policy and Leadership from 天美传媒. Her doctoral research examined how capital investment can act as a catalyst for organizational transformation in higher education.

She has been recognized as a 鈥淲oman of Influence鈥 winner by the Milwaukee Business Journal. She received a leadership award from Girl Scouts of Wisconsin and has been recognized by the BizTimes among Notable Women in Construction and Design. Strigens is active in several professional and community organizations and currently serves on the boards of Nativity Jesuit Academy and FC Wisconsin Soccer Club.
