How many books can I check out?

Current ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ students, faculty and employees can check out as many books as they want to be responsible for.

Courtesy card holders and special borrowers can check out up to ten books at a time.

Certain collections may have shorter loan periods:

  • AVM collection (audiovisual material, such as DVDs) - 5 day loan, no renewals
  • Popular Reading collection (on the 1st Floor of Raynor) - 3 week loan, no renewals
  • Children's collection - 3 week loan
  • Reference collection - 1 week loan, unless noted for in Library Use Only

Periodicals are not available for check out by students.

Can I renew books online?

Yes, you can renew books online using your library account.

What does it mean if I have a book recalled from me?

All circulating items are subject to recall by other users; the first user is guaranteed 10 days usage. When a recall is issued the original due date is cancelled and a new due date is established.

How long can I have a book checked out?

That depends on your status within the university. Check the circulation borrowing policies for details.

Where can I check out the markers for the whiteboards?

Whiteboard markers are available at the Library Services Desk in Raynor Library.
