Business Courses
  • If taking MATH 1400 Elements of Calculus (3 cr.) in spring, take BUAD 1560 Applied Statistics (3 cr.) in fall.
  • Consider courses for which you meet prerequisites:
    • BUAD 2001 Introduction to Applied AI (3 cr.), ECON 1104 Macroeconomics (3 cr.), FINA 3001 Introduction to Finance, INSY 3001 Introduction to Information Systems, MANA 3001 Organizational Behavior, MARK 3001 Introduction to Marketing, OSCM 3001 Operations & Supply Chain Management; Accounting majors should take ACCO 3001 Intermediate Accounting I.
  • Complete a Core Enhancement Structured Elective: ENTP 3001 Entrepreneurship, HURE 3001 Human Resources Management, or REAL 3001 Intro to Commercial Real Estate, especially if considering those majors/minors.
  • Complete LEAD 2000 (1 cr.) and/or COMM 1100 (3 cr.) in your second year.

Non-Business Courses

Remaining MCC foundations courses: ENGL 1001, THEO 1001, PHIL 1001, , CORE 1929 (all 3 cr.); a Discovery Tier Theme course if known; or a general elective if needed for credits.

  • Remaining Structured Elective; MANA 4101 after senior standing and all 3001 requirements; major requirements/electives; and, for single majors, an upper-division business elective (3000–4000 level). .

Non-Business Courses

Discovery Tier Theme options, CORE 4929 (junior or senior year), non-business electives for pre-Fall 2025 students, and general electives if needed for total credits.

Thinking about studying abroad?

Spring sophomore year or fall junior year usually offers the most study abroad course options.

Students starting before Fall 2025 should save 9 Non-Business Elective credits for study abroad. All business students should aim to save 9 Upper Division Business Elective credits when possible. To prepare, complete ACCO 1030, ACCO 1031, BUAD 1001, BUAD 1060, BUAD 1560, ECON 1103, LEAD 1050, and LEAD 2000 at ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½; Economics majors should also complete ECON 1104 before departure.

Finance and Marketing majors should complete their 3001 introductory major course, and any 3001 courses tied to upper-division study abroad plans, unless attending a U.S. institution’s program. Requirements vary by partner; visit the Office of International Business Programs for specific advising.
