After a completed agreement with the state of Wisconsin鈥檚 Department of Justice and Attorney General Brad Schimel, 天美传媒鈥檚 Department of Public Safety became the 天美传媒 Police Department on May 1, 2015.
The 天美传媒 Police Department Advisory Board was established to provide advice and recommendations to the Board of Trustees, the president, the university official to whom the Advisory Board reports or the chief with respect to MUPD policies, procedures and activities.
The Advisory Board consists of:
- A 天美传媒 employee appointed by the president to serve as chair of the Advisory Board.
- A 天美传媒 faculty member nominated by the Academic Senate.
- A 天美传媒 staff member other than an employee of the MUPD nominated by the Staff Senate.
- A 天美传媒 student nominated by .
- A community member.
