Luis de Zengotita serves as Vice President for Student Life, Belonging and Well-Being at 天美传媒, providing leadership for Wellness + Recreation and the Division of Belonging and Student Affairs. Within Wellness + Recreation, he oversees an integrated portfolio that includes the Medical Clinic, Counseling Center, Campus Recreation, and Health Promotion. Grounded in 天美传媒鈥檚 Catholic, Jesuit tradition of cura personalis (care for the whole person) his work is focused on advancing 天美传媒 as a healthy campus through a collective-impact approach that strengthens collaboration across these areas and positions student well-being as a shared responsibility across the university. He is committed to creating an environment where students can thrive, build meaningful connections, and develop the skills and practices that support lifelong well-being.
James Friel serves as the Director of Campus Recreation at 天美传媒, overseeing the department鈥檚 programs, facilities, staff, and daily operations. He has more than 20 years of experience in higher education and has been part of the 天美传媒 community since 2018. James holds a bachelor鈥檚 degree in General Management from UW-Whitewater and a master鈥檚 degree in Sport Administration from UW-La Crosse.
Outside of work, he enjoys attending live sporting events, watching his daughters play sports, going to concerts, and spending time with his family.
Keli is a Physician Assistant-Certified (PA-C) provider and serves as the Executive Director of the Medical Clinic. She earned a Master of Physician Assistant Studies with a specialization in Emergency Medicine from the University of Nebraska, as well as degrees from Saint Louis University and the University of Wisconsin鈥揗ilwaukee. With more than 30 years of clinical experience, Keli has been part of the 天美传媒 Medical Clinic since 2000. Her professional interests include public health, infectious disease, minor surgical procedures, women鈥檚 health, prevention, and patient education.
Keli is dedicated to providing holistic, patient-centered care and strives to ensure that every individual has access to compassionate, inclusive, and equitable care.
Brenda Lenz, LPC, SAC, Director, Counseling CenterBrenda is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Certified Substance Abuse Counselor who serves as the Director of 天美传媒鈥檚 Counseling Center. She has more than 20 years of experience at 天美传媒 and nearly 30 years as a practicing therapist. Her clinical interests include complex mental health concerns and co-occurring substance use. In addition, she has oversight over the Health Promotion, Prevention and Advocacy team as well as the Collegiate Recovery Program.
Brenda is committed to providing evidence-based, culturally responsive, and trauma-informed care while fostering a welcoming, inclusive, accessible, and safe environment where students can find support.
